Terms, Refunds & Policies
This section keeps things clear and fair for both anglers and guide. By requesting a booking or paying a deposit, you agree to the policies below.

No payment is required until Shayne confirms your date.
Weather safety first
Unsafe conditions may require a reschedule.
Fishing isn’t guaranteed
Guiding improves your chances, but catches vary by conditions and skill.
1) Booking & deposit
- • Dates are only confirmed once Shayne confirms availability and a deposit is received.
- • If your date has not been confirmed yet, please do not pay a deposit.
- • The remaining balance is due as communicated during confirmation.
2) Cancellations & refunds
If you need to cancel, please WhatsApp as soon as possible. Cancellations and refunds are handled as follows:
- • 14 days before trip: 50% of deposit may be refunded, depending on committed booking costs and third-party losses.
- • Less than 7 days: deposit or full payment is non-refundable.
- • No-shows: no refund.
- • Dullstroom weather is variable, and trips are not automatically canceled due to adverse weather conditions.
If the venue restricts access or closes, rescheduling is prioritised first.
3) Weather & water conditions
- • Trips run in typical Dullstroom weather.
- • Trips will not be canceled due to normal adverse weather conditions.
- • If conditions become unsafe, the day may be rescheduled.
4) Safety, risk & responsibility
- • Participation is at your own risk. Please take care around water, slippery banks, hooks and casting space.
- • Immersive Angling is not liable for loss or damage to personal items, or for injuries sustained during the trip.
- • Please disclose any medical issues that could affect participation.
- • Nearby hospital access includes Lydenburg (+- 50km) and Belfast (+- 30km).
- • Dullstroom has essential medical services suitable for primary care and general needs.
5) Venues, permits & access
- • Trips take place on private waters such as Laverpa, or other agreed venues.
- • Venue day-fees or permits are excluded unless explicitly stated, and are paid to the venue.
- • Clients agree to follow venue rules and treat the property with respect.
6) Gear & equipment
- • If gear is arranged or provided, it must be returned in reasonable condition.
- • Lost or damaged gear may be charged at replacement cost.
7) Catch expectations
Fishing success varies. We can’t guarantee fish catches, but we do guarantee honest effort, coaching, and the best plan for the conditions on the day.
8) Payments
- • Payments are processed via third-party providers and Immersive Angling does not store card details.
- • Use your surname and trip date in the payment reference where requested.
9) Privacy (POPIA)
We use your details only for booking, trip communication, and record keeping. We do not sell your personal information.
